Nyesom Wike, the Rivers State Governor on a reconciliatory visit on Wednesday, visited Plateau State to assure that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is to resolve the crisis among its leaders.
Wike expressed the concern of the Party on the continued controversy between Jonah Jang, former Governor of the State and Lt Gen Jeremiah Useni (rtd), PDP governorship aspirant in the state.
The Rivers State Governor as well held a closed-door meeting with the two individuals at the private residence of the retired Army General, Useni in Jos, the State capital.
Wike then attended the court session of the trial of Jonah Jang who is standing trial alongside an ex-cashier in the office of the Secretary to the Government of the State, Yusuf Pam, on alleged fraud charges by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
In March 2018, the two accused persons were first arraigned before Justice Daniel Longji on 17 counts bordering on criminal breach of trust and misappropriation of public funds, but they had since pleaded not guilty to the charges.
